What sort of wir did you use ? If it's some of an used motor...You will bee unable to weld it...It's covered with an insulating coating...

Re: [HELP-NEW] EcoBus. MB1114. Bi-Carburation
Hi Alma,
yes, tin all over
just leave the extremities clean for future hose.
Is it old motor winding copper wire (not good) or that of electric line (good)?
The main thing being tin should flow when applied hot to make a sound soldering joint
God bless

Re: [HELP-NEW] EcoBus. MB1114. Bi-Carburation
My fellows
The wire is electrical wire, really goldish.
They are not burned.
Whats sound soldering?
I will solder it with fire torch its ok?
As they solder the radiators to fix them.
Thanks
Alma
edit: i am really exited! will solder! test it with water, isolate it inside a pvc, connect hoses.... im so closeee

Have fun...but i think that this exhangeur won't bee very efficient...You will have time to improve your system later...It's a pity you're very far from us...I have one in my workshop made of 3 tubes of 6mm for the oil going through a bigger one for coolant... But the shipping will cost more than the price to make one by yourself...

Re: [HELP-NEW] EcoBus. MB1114. Bi-Carburation
OIL FILTERING:
I got 20 liters of oil from a Hotel Restaurant
The color is really nice.
But when i take out 250ml of oil to boil it
it does a lot of water explotions
Could you help me please, it wont be able to use it
because of the water isnt it?
What I learned from you, its let it rest for 2 weeks
and then extract the top of it and the filter it trought 5 microns plastic cloth.
Thanks
alma.

Re: [HELP-NEW] EcoBus. MB1114. Bi-Carburation
Dont worry dude. Nobody ever boil waste oil...
1) Let it sit for MINIMUM 2 weeks, (the longer, the best - what she said rhm)
the top of the oil jar should be clear,
2) pass it through your filtering cloth only the clear part, let the rest sit another month and separate the clear again ;
3) then you shall assemble all the dirty bottom parts of the different jars together, and let it sit for another month (re-settling)
this will give you a few more liters of good clear oil to filter.
You can skip step 2) if your oil is clean enough and does not let you more than half dirt / half clean at first seperation.
Of course if you let the waste oil sit for months, it will separate even more efficiently..
This is a whole affair you have to organize for yourself.
Good luck.

Re: [HELP-NEW] EcoBus. MB1114. Bi-Carburation
As long as the mixture is on liquid state, the water will fall down because its heavier than oil ;
everyone using WVO is talking about "filtering" its actually decanting that does 99% of the job.
Problems could appear if you plan on using solid oil (solid at room temperature).. then it would require heating - settling - etc. do not bother with that.
a good decanting phase (that means warm temperature and enough time) would let you see different layers in a jar of WVO
1) on top will be the clearest also lighter part of veggy oil that should not go solid even during the winter
2) heavier oil layer, lumpsy, jelly-like, you can poor it but some of the oil in this layer in on solid state which will clog your filters, you dont want to filter it BUT if you let it settle and warm up a bit; it will give you some more clear oil.
3) bottom part contains everything that is heavier than oil, that is water but also fries, insects, meat chunks, dead rats ... everything your chicken will love!
Cheers

Re: [HELP-NEW] EcoBus. MB1114. Bi-Carburation
I would say its a loss of time,
it does not separate as easy as that
some people do separate oil and water like you said, but on bigger volume like 1000 liters.
it doesnt work out well ; especially because of viscosity differences between the water / fat / dead mices layer (really viscous) and the really fluid clear oil part...
Just poor in your filters the top of each jar to separate the clear oil ; when you see it get thicker (some white jelly appear) stop pooring.
Assemble all the bottom parts together etc.... you know that

Its easier for me to put the tap dont in the jars, because if not i have to turn them upside down andTibo1987 a écrit :I would say its a loss of time,

filters are made off? where can i get them? in wich industrys are they used?joumpy a écrit :First, use a wire net to get rid of fries and leftovers.
Then an old sheet to get rid of anything not liquid.
And only after that a 5µm filter.
2 weeks in summer = no problem
2 weeks in winter = not long enough so you will clogg your 5µm filter faster and you will need more filters that's all.
Start with visual inspection, prefilter in a sheet and final filtration 5µm over a large area. Do not attempt to filter oil that's doubtful: it has to be clear brown liquid.
paper made? plastic made?
The ones used for water filters? how ofthen they need to be changed?
thanks
god bless

Alma, nobody is saying you want to get rid of the dirt in the jars, its much easier to take out the clean oil (to your filtration system) and let the rest in.Its easier for me to put the tap dont in the jars, because if not i have to turn them upside down and
its a lot of energy... but maybe it will get blockec but a lot of dirty or dead mices? hahaha
the clean oil will leave the jar doing this
and later, at this point :
will should have stopped because lot of dirt are going out.
kapito ?

Re: [HELP-NEW] EcoBus. MB1114. Bi-Carburation
coffe filtering is the perfect set up.
Only drawback: time
good for the first 2 or 3 liters, not more
fuel filters have a bit more surface so faster than coffe, maybe twice as fast, this is still rather slow
water filter have much larger surface area so they are fast and last long.
Choose the largest ones: 10 inch minimum
multi cartridge
first cartridge 100µm or more washable preferably
last cartridge 5µm or less
Pressure: only use gravity, not a pump
only filter clear oil
never turn large jars upside down: you will ruin your back. Use a hose and siphon it off
